Forgot to post this yesterday. The NPCs at Village and Factory have been adjusted to have a lower damage multiplier and higher aim cone (they deal less damage and have worse aim) so as not to down players as quickly. They are now more in line with the other NPCs.

January Wipe and New Monuments!
Welcome to January! Some new items this month:
- Backpack storage increased to 144 (3 pages)
- 2 new monuments. Village and Factory
- Slower conveyors. – Sadly, due to continued abuse, we have had to slow the conveyors down some.
- Raidable Bases will now show a red dome around them when locked to a player/team.
Don’t forget to look at the last change log also to see what else has recently changed.
New Features And Limits For A New Year.
As we get ready to ring in the new year, we are releasing several new changes to the server:
- Playtime rewards are back! Earn RP just for playing the server.
- Personal recyclers are now available. Players are given up to 2 recyclers per wipe. Players can craft a recycler by using “/recycler.craft”. You can pickup a recycler by hitting it with a hammer. Check your balance remaining with “/recycler.balance”.
- Foundation limits have been increased to 300 per player.
- TC Limits have been increased:
- Single Players: 8
- Teams of 2: 16
- Teams of 3 or more: 24
- New leaderboard system (Player Rank). Use /pr to access leaderboard.
These new limits are subject to change based on performance.
New Shop And Welcome Screen
Merry Christmas Rust Players!
Our new shop and welcome screen are now active.
The welcome screen replaces the /info screen with a new design. Players should start seeing it when they join the server now.

The reward shop has also been replaced with a new design. Players can now easily purchase multiple quantities of an item by placing the item in the shopping bag then using the + and – buttons to increase/decrease the amount or simply type the amount into the field.

We hope to have several new items released in the next day or so as well. Stay tuned!
Second Daily Reboot Added
In order to maintain a stable server, we have added another daily reboot at 5:00pm US Eastern daily. This means the server will reboot at 5:00am and 5:00pm daily.
Updates To Convoy, Armored Train and Gas Station Events
Convoy, Armored Train and Gas Station events have been updated to utilize PvEMode. This means events will now be locked to players/teams/clans to better protect loot. Other players can enter the zone area, but will not be able to do damage to the NPCs if the event has already been locked to another player. Locks will expire if the event owner leaves the event area for more than 5 minutes.
BuildingSkins has also been updated so that Gingerbread houses now work again after the Christmas update.
December Wipe and News
Welcome to December wipe! We are back on a standard map for this month. We also have a few new features and settings. Rust also celebrates it’s 10 year anniversary this month!
We have a new event this month, Gas Station Event. Rival gangs, the Vagos and the Ballas are in a shootout at Oxum’s. Choose a side and be rewarded for helping to eliminate the other gang. Or take out both gangs and receive all the rewards.
Other server changes for this month:
- Auto turrets are now limited to 12 per building. You must have a TC down on the building before placing an auto turret as well. We will continue to evaluate client side lag caused by turrets and make adjustments to this if needed. If you notice client lag from turrets, please open a ticket in #admin-help on our Discord and let us know. Be sure to note your map location on the ticket.
- We will now be enforcing the 6-in/6-out limit on industrial conveyors. For more info, see Rules.
- Monument NPC health has been increased some. We may also scale their damage up slightly, but not much, in the coming weeks.
- We are also looking at adding more NPCs across the map. More on those later.
A Few Updates And December Map
- Frontier pack items now have icons in reward shop. – All shop items should have proper icons now.
- Animal AI has been restored. – Since we have the extra FPS with the server move, animals are now roaming again.
- New event – We are looking at a couple of options for a new server event for next wipe.
- December map will be more standard. – We have selected a standard procedural map for December, but have slightly customized it to remove a little of the clutter (road side power poles and electrical boxes for example). We are still testing it out to make sure it all looks right. Because of these changes, the directory will still shows us as “custom map”.
- For December, we are looking at restricting the number of turrets that can be placed per building, or re-enabling the FacePunch limit. Some players have complained about the client side lag faced when a base with 30+ turrets takes on convoy or the armored train. While the effects of this are minimal on the server side, clients can see lag especially if they are on older hardware. No decision has been made at this time yet. There is a Discord poll available to collect input.
Several Updates – New Host Coming?
- Skinbox has been updated. With the new version, players can now create up to three “sets” of predefined skins. Players can then quick apply one of these sets to their inventory items. Each set can only have one skin per item in it. In other words, you can set two different skins for rocket launchers in the same set. However, you can have a different rocket launcher skins in each of the three sets. NOTE: If you have multiple stacks of an item in your inventory, only one stack will get skinned. To skin the other stacks, you will have to click apply once for each stack.
- TruePVE has been updated. This is the core plugin that really defines the server as PvE. While several bug fixes are included with the update and it has undergone testing on our test server, there is always a possibility that new issues can crop up. So please inform us if you notice any issues by making a ticket on our Discord in #admin-help. Be sure to include as much info as possible (what you were doing and what happened).
- Chest stacking is officially back. While chest stacking has been back for a little bit unofficially, we can announce that stacking is back officially now. Players should be able to stack chests up to 3 high (don’t forget you have to right click to stack chests 2 and 3).
If you keep up-to-date on our Discord, you know that we are looking at moving to another provider that can offer us better performance. We hope to bring up a mirror of our current server tomorrow evening and will run it for ~24 hours. If all goes good, we will be moving to the new host by next Tuesday the 28th. While we don’t like to move mid-wipe, we may have to do it this way to avoid double hosting fees next month. More info will be posted in our Discord as it becomes available.
Raidable Bases Update
Our raidable bases pack has been updated. Here are the changes:
- New nightmare design – Nightmare3 has been replaced with a new design.
- Samsites should no longer auto repair – so if you take them out, you should have no problem flying in afterwards.
- Tesla coils should be working correctly – Previously, some coils were not working. All should be working now.
- Pricing structure updated. All levels are now at multiples of 100RP.
