The Armored Train has received another update from the author. Now when killing the driver, the train will complete a full stop (same as hitting the stop switch). The stop switch has also been moved up in between the two counters.

Updated Armored Train
Armored Train has been updated with a few new features:
- You can now link up to the rear of the train with your own locomotive/work cart.
- The stop switch (formerly a salvaged hammer) has been replaced with a standard switch.
- Two digital counters have also been added above the switch. One showing the overall remaining time for the event, the other showing the remaining time before the train resumes after you stop it with the switch.
- The train driver can now be killed which will very briefly stop the train. The driver will respawn after about 20 seconds and resume the train unless you board and flip the stop switch.
Flame Thrower In Shop
Fixed an error where the the new Military Flame Thrower would not be given to players buying it in the shop. If you tried to purchase and didn’t receive it, please make a ticket on our Discord in #admin-help and we will refund your RP. Be sure to include your in-game name in the ticket!
April Wipe
Wow…April already?
BIG ITEM: We are aware backpacks are not working right. You can access 1 page of a backpack by using /backpack The plugin author said to expect an update in about 8 hours. FIXED!
Here are some of the changes for this month:
- Slightly smaller map size. – Reduced from 4500 to 4000.
- New minigun and military flame thrower! – These are available in the shop.
- New Tool Cupboard – The new “retro” tool cupboard is now available. This tool cupboard will have a display screen that shows upkeep time. While it’s listed as it’s own item, you can also skin a standard tool cupboard.
- New Harbor designs – The new Harbor designs are now live. Some of the NPCs around Harbor are currently not spawning in right, so you may see some floating in the air for now. Also, the Harbor Bradley may be stuck in place. We are waiting on an update for this plugin.
- Oilrig Moon Pools – Oil rigs now have a moon pool that will allow players to use a sub to access the rig. Players will then have direct access to the second main level of the rig (L3). The moon pool on large oil also provides access to the catwalk area just above the water (L1).
Animal AI Back Off
We were still seeing large drops with FPS with animal AI back on, more than expected. So AI has been shut back off again.
Event System Ready – Animal AI Back
The new event manager is now live. This will allow us to space out events more and reduce overlap. This should help server performance and allow us to start adding more events as well.
Animal AI should be coming back on as well, though only new animals that spawn in till the next reboot will have AI. After the 5am reboot, all animals should have AI again.
We will of course be monitoring these changes closely (mainly the AI) and will update them as needed.
Animal AI and Events
We have turned off animal AI for now. Server FPS is already starting to get low and we don’t want to see any excess lagging for players.
We are looking into a new event manager that will handle the larger events like Armored Train, Gas Station, Convoy, etc. These events, Convoy especially, consume a lot of resources when running. When they are all running together, it can really eat up system resources. The new event manager will hopefully let us spread them out more evenly to avoid them all running at once. This is still a several days away though.
We have also slowed the spawn speed of Raidable Bases some. Now, when you purchase a raid base, it may take a bit longer to complete the spawn in.
March Wipe Is Here
This month, we have a new combined Outpost/Bandit Camp at the center of the map. /outpost and /bandit will both take you there. The combined Outpost/Bandit also incorporates Ranch outside the main walls.
We are also introducing new limits on auto turrets due to continued abuse. Some don’t realize how much client side lag large clusters of turrets can cause for other players. New limits will be 12 per building, 20 globally per player. We will re-evaluate this limit as needed.
Slower Up and Down
The /up and /down commands have been slowed down to prevent larger bases from affecting server performance when running the commands. We also suggest using the /bgrade command to auto upgrade building blocks when placing them.
We will continue to evaluate these new settings and adjust as needed to balance speed and performance.
Train Yard Bradley
The Train Yard Bradley is back.
